AirAsia, celebrated globally as the world’s Best Low Cost Airline for the 15th consecutive year, is significantly expanding its presence in India. With new routes connecting 16 cities to over 130 destinations through its hubs in Malaysia and Thailand, AirAsia is set to play a crucial role in the revival of tourism post-pandemic. This expansion will facilitate direct connectivity from major Indian cities such as Bangalore, Ahmedabad, and Chennai to key Asian hubs.

In a bid to enhance its brand presence and engage more deeply with Indian consumers, AirAsia has partnered with Qube Cinemas to introduce a unique “cinematic in-flight” experience. This collaboration, spanning across 130 cinemas in 12 Indian cities, is designed to showcase AirAsia’s diverse destinations and offer movie-goers an immersive experience. Additionally, movie-goers will have the chance to win flights to any destination within AirAsia’s global network.

Paul Carroll, AirAsia’s Chief Commercial Officer, expressed his gratitude for the support from Indian travelers and highlighted the airline’s impressive growth. “We are thrilled to announce the addition of 10 new routes in 2024, bringing our total to over 20 daily flights across India. This expansion solidifies our position as a leading carrier in the country, offering affordable travel options across Asia and beyond,” said Carroll.

The strategic expansion and innovative marketing approach are set to bolster AirAsia’s footprint in India, reinforcing its commitment to providing accessible and enjoyable travel experiences. As the airline continues to grow, Indian travelers can look forward to more connectivity and exciting opportunities to explore new destinations.
