Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, along with his wife Sara and son Yair, are reportedly considering spending the night in an underground bunker complex in Jerusalem amid increasing threats from Iran. This information comes from sources close to the Prime Minister, as reported by Walla.

The Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) has recently prepared the underground command bunker, known as the National Crisis Management Center (NCM), located deep underground in the Jerusalem area. The NCM is designed to be a secure location where the Prime Minister and senior government officials can manage the country during emergencies.

Sources suggest that the Netanyahu family is contemplating seeking refuge in the bunker due to explicit threats from Iranian officials. An Iranian MP has recently been quoted as saying, "we will not settle for less than Netanyahu's head," while a newspaper aligned with Iran's supreme leader indicated that Iranian retaliation would target "the residences of the chief criminals."

Despite these alarming reports, the Prime Minister's Office has denied any plans for the family to enter the bunker, dismissing the claims as "fake news."

The NCM bunker, built at a cost of billions following the Winograd Commission's recommendations after the Second Lebanon War, is a highly protected facility equipped with advanced security measures and encrypted communication systems. It is intended for use by senior military and government officials during times of national crisis.

In a similar situation last April, during an Iranian attack on Israel, Prime Minister Netanyahu and his wife Sara temporarily relocated to the home of billionaire Simon Falic's family in Jerusalem, which reportedly features an advanced anti-missile shelter.

The Netanyahu family's potential move to the underground bunker underscores the gravity of the threats facing Israel and the continued tension with Iran. As the situation develops, the Israeli government remains on high alert, ensuring that all necessary measures are in place to protect its leaders and citizens.
